[ICTs-and-Society] Uppsala conference report

Thanks Lázló for this reminder. The Hungarian-Finnish research in
question was conducted under an EU-financed Tempus project in
1996-1999 and its esence is reported in an edited book which is
available online at http://tampub.uta.fi/handle/10024/65316 This
project was inspired by a sociological analysis of the post-industrial
society rather than internet or other technology-based aspects of the
time -- something that seems to be neglected in the past few years.
Let me also remind about the fairly rich history of scholarly ideas on
Information Society since the 1960s, summarized in my presentation in
