You'll see the participants and presenters include a terrific roster of top scholars and media activists engaged in a range of controversies and issues. My colleagues Jeff Jones, from the University of Georgia and Director of the Peabody Awards, and David Craig -- a TV/film producer with a long list of credits who teaches at the Annenberg School at USC and is a doctoral student with us at UCLA -- have organized a wonderful session that really crosses the boundaries between media activism theory, practice, and pedagogy.
