About the conference

Privacy is a multifaceted and complex concept that can best be grasped using perspectives from different disciplines and contexts. This conference intends to create a rich interdisciplinary space to explore privacy in online social networks by bringing together leading scholars from social, legal, technical, and economic backgrounds. In six panels, these researchers will present their studies and discuss the effects of their findings on regulation, education and systems design. In parallel, activists, artists, developers and representatives of NGOs will present their ongoing projects.

We invite you to take this opportunity to explore with us the challenges, pitfalls and opportunities in addressing privacy in online social networks, in theory and in practice.
