Dear colleagues in the ICTs and Society-network,
I am happy to report that Uppsala University, where I have been
professor in media/communication studies since a year, has introduced a
new 2 years master's programme in Digital Media & Society. The focus of
the programme is to teach students in theoretical, empirical, ethical,
critical, and practical skills required for analyzing the role of
digital media and social media in the information society and how the
challenges, opportunities, and risks of contemporary society shape
digital media. The MA programme in Digital Media & Society prepares
students for research education as PhD students and for becoming digital
media professionals.
The master will start at the end of August 2012. The application period
has just begun and will end on January 15, 2012.
The master's programme is taught in English. European Union students do
not pay fees in Sweden.
