Dear members of the ICTs and Society-network,

We have added a new feature to the ICTs and Society-platform
(http://www.icts-and-society.net): the ICTs-and-Society Mailing List.
The discussion board on the web platform is still available, but, as
those of you who have tried posting will have noticed, it is not
user-friendly because you have to log in to read new messages.

The mailing list is intended for fostering discussion between and
networking of ICTs and society-scholars as well as promoting
announcements and news from the research field.

Postings to the list can be made to
discussion at lists.icts-and-society.net

I will moderate discussions/postings.

You have been subscribed to the list, if you wish not to be part of if,
then please send me an email (not to the whole list) to
christian.fuchs at uti.at and I will remove you.

You can also remove yourself anytime from the list (besides by emailing
me) and change your subscription settings by going to
http://lists.icts-and-society.net/listinfo.cgi/discussion-icts-and-society.net

and using the section at the bottom that says "To unsubscribe from
Discussion, get a password reminder, or change your subscription options
enter your subscription email address". Your password was set by a
random generator, so first retrieve your password and then log in for
changing your settings.

The list is moderated, meaning that all postings have to be approved by
me before they will be sent over the list.

Discussions as well as news about events and publications are welcome.
Please refrain from sending entire publications or other large documents
over the list, as this will annoy other users and such messages will be
blocked anyway. Announcements and links to new works, reports, and
publications are welcome.

The list postings are auto-archived at the following sites:
http://lists.icts-and-society.net/pipermail/discussion-icts-and-society.net/

http://www.icts-and-society.net/pages/icts-and-society-discussion-list-archive

If you have any further enquiries about the mailing list, please contact
me.

Best wishes,
Christian Fuchs
